Global Entrepreneur Week Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Home of Global Entrepreneur Week
On a day dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial growth and innovation, Nevada Partners hosted two significant events that brought together a diverse group of aspiring business leaders. The morning began with the Women of Global Change Entrepreneurship Workshop, followed by an engaging Pitch Practice session organized by Promise Startups. These events provided a platform for participants to learn, network, and refine their business ideas, reinforcing Las Vegas's reputation as a hub for entrepreneurial activity.
The Women of Global Change Entrepreneurship Workshop was designed to empower historically underrepresented entrepreneurs by offering them the tools and knowledge necessary to succeed in the competitive business world. Held at the Veteran Entrepreneurial Library, the workshop was led by Heather Rise, who brought her extensive experience in business coaching and mentorship to the session. The workshop focused on critical areas such as business planning, marketing strategies, networking techniques, and sales tactics.
Participants were particularly inspired by the insights shared by Brenda Bryant, a UNR Business Coach, and Tiffany Ward, a VP and seasoned entrepreneur. Bryant provided practical advice on how to structure business plans that attract investors and secure funding, while Ward offered her expertise on effective marketing and sales strategies that resonate with target audiences. The combination of these perspectives helped create a comprehensive learning experience that addressed the multifaceted challenges faced by entrepreneurs today.
As the workshop progressed, it became clear that the knowledge being imparted was not just theoretical but also actionable. Attendees were encouraged to apply the strategies discussed to their own businesses, setting the stage for immediate impact. This hands-on approach helped to build confidence among the participants, many of whom left the session with a clearer vision of how to navigate their entrepreneurial journeys.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to the Pitch Practice session, where emerging entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to present their business ideas to a panel of expert judges. This session was a highlight of the day, as it allowed participants to put into practice the concepts they had learned earlier. The judging panel included industry professionals such as Lauren Jones of Alter New Media, Nadya Rousseau, also from Alter New Media, and Lauren Anderson, CEO of All In Recruiting.
