LAS VEGAS, NV | September 30, 2026

Las Vegas became a meeting point for longevity science, biotechnology and entrepreneurship as Genetic LifeSpan hosted its Premier Event at The Stirling Club from September 24 through September 26.

Alter New Media attended the event, which brought together entrepreneurs, investors, clinicians, operators, innovators and creators for conversations spanning longevity, biohacking, precision health and emerging technologies.

At the center of the event was Adam Vincent Gilmer, Founder and CEO of Genetic LifeSpan, whose company is developing a platform around genetics, epigenetics, methylation, personalized health and longevity science.

The event was hosted by Andre Sappingfield, Chief Operating Officer of Genetic LifeSpan. Sappingfield’s professional background centers on business operations, technology, sales, growth and helping organizations scale. His work with Genetic LifeSpan reflects the operational side of building a company in an emerging industry, where scientific innovation has to be paired with business development and execution.

An Entrepreneurial Approach to Longevity

The Genetic LifeSpan event was notable for bringing together people from disciplines that do not traditionally occupy the same room.

The program included entrepreneurs, medical professionals, investors, exhibitors, creators and business leaders, with opportunities for companies to showcase their work, connect with potential investors and participate in startup-focused programming.

The event included startup fast-pitch opportunities, exhibitors, speakers and podcast interviews, creating several avenues for founders and emerging companies to introduce their ideas and make connections within the longevity and health innovation ecosystem.

That entrepreneurial component was particularly relevant throughout the event. Longevity is not only a scientific conversation. It is becoming a business category involving biotechnology, diagnostics, personalized health, nutrition, medical technology, artificial intelligence, consumer products and other emerging technologies.

Business Leaders Take the Stage

The event featured Bill Walsh, founder and CEO of Powerteam International, whose work centers on entrepreneurship, business growth, leadership, marketing and venture capital.

David Meltzer also joined the speaker lineup. Meltzer is an entrepreneur, investor, author and co-founder of Sports 1 Marketing whose work spans business strategy, leadership, investment and entrepreneurship.

Their participation added a distinctly business-focused perspective to an event otherwise centered heavily on biotechnology and health innovation.

The combination was fitting. For companies developing new technologies in longevity and precision health, scientific development is only one part of building a successful business. Founders also have to consider capital, operations, partnerships, marketing, positioning and how to communicate complex ideas to the market.

MyHeartCode Brings Film and Medicine Together

Professor Dr. Dr. Ernst von Schwarz, Triple Board Certified Clinical and Academic Cardiologist.

One of the event’s most interesting examples of cross-industry collaboration was MyHeartCode™, a project connecting cardiovascular medicine with filmmaking and creative production.

The project brought together Anna Oris, producer; Henry Lipatov, director (pictured above); and Professor Dr. Dr. Ernst von Schwarz, Triple Board Certified Clinical and Academic Cardiologist.

Lipatov brings a substantial directing and visual-effects background to the project. His IMDb profile identifies him as a director, producer and visual-effects professional. His directing portfolio includes more than 165 music videos, with work involving Jennifer Lopez, Eminem, Linkin Park, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent, Fall Out Boy, Demi Lovato, OneRepublic and Why Don’t We. His background gives MyHeartCode a strong connection to music, film, visual storytelling and large-scale entertainment production.

Dr. von Schwarz brings the medical and scientific perspective. He is a triple board-certified clinical and academic cardiologist and clinical professor of medicine at UCLA and UC Riverside. His career has included leadership roles in cardiac device programs, cardiology, heart transplantation and cardiovascular research. His published work includes more than 150 scientific papers, along with books and medical chapters, and he has lectured at international conferences including those of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology.

Oris brings more than two decades of experience in entertainment and has worked as an actress, producer, television host, model, singer and media personality. Her IMDb profile lists more than 40 acting credits and appearances across more than 50 television productions, including Cold Souls, Interns, Trace, Detectives and Kazanova’s Earring.

The collaboration illustrates another side of innovation: sometimes the challenge is not simply developing an idea, but finding a way to communicate it.

The Technology Behind Genetic LifeSpan

Genetic LifeSpan operates across genetics, epigenetics, biomarker testing, personalized health, precision nutraceuticals and longevity science.

Its AgeCode™ platform combines genetic and epigenetic analysis to provide personalized information related to biological aging and other health indicators. Genetic LifeSpan also offers LivinGene™ precision nutraceuticals and IMUN™, its immune-cell banking initiative.

The company’s approach reflects the increasing convergence of data, biotechnology and personalized health. Rather than treating health as a one-size-fits-all category, companies operating in this space are developing technologies designed to provide more individualized biological information.

As with any emerging health technology, the distinction between informational testing, medical diagnosis and clinical treatment remains important. Genetic LifeSpan’s own materials state that its reports are informational and can be discussed with a licensed healthcare professional.

Why the Event Matters for Entrepreneurs

For entrepreneurs, one of the strongest aspects of the Genetic LifeSpan Premier Event was the opportunity to see an emerging industry from several different perspectives at once.

A medical researcher approaches longevity differently from a founder. An investor evaluates an opportunity differently from a filmmaker. An operator looks at scaling differently from a physician.

Putting those perspectives together can create the conditions for new partnerships.

That was evident throughout the event, from the startup pitch opportunities and investor connections to the speakers, exhibitors and projects represented at The Stirling Club.

For Las Vegas, the event also added another dimension to the city’s growing business and innovation landscape.

The city has long been a destination for major conferences and business gatherings. Events focused on specialized emerging industries create another opportunity for entrepreneurs and companies to bring their ideas, partnerships and investment conversations to Nevada.

A Look at the People Who Make this Film Special

For Alter New Media, the most compelling part of the Genetic LifeSpan event was the people behind the technologies and ideas.

There were founders building companies, medical professionals bringing scientific expertise, business leaders discussing growth, investors looking at emerging opportunities, and creative professionals finding new ways to communicate complex subjects.

MyHeartCode demonstrated what can happen when medicine and filmmaking intersect. Genetic LifeSpan demonstrated the business opportunity emerging around longevity and personalized health. And the startup programming demonstrated the importance of capital, relationships and communication when entrepreneurs are building within a developing market.

That combination made the event much more than a discussion about longevity.

It was a look at what happens when science, business, technology, medicine and storytelling converge.

As the longevity industry continues to develop, those intersections will likely remain an important part of how new companies are built, new technologies are communicated and new partnerships take shape.

Alter New Media covers the entrepreneurs, companies, technologies and ideas shaping the future of business and innovation.
